Beaches in England



England has a wide range of beautiful beaches around its coastlines, being the Southwest England the most recommended place where you can find sandy and pleasant beaches compared to any other region. Cornwall has the largest coastline of any area on the country and is famous for its storm beaches. Devon is one of the main cities that have dozens of blue flag awarded beaches.

The Southeast is a traditional seaside resort with gorgeous beaches, with fewer blue flag beaches than the Southwest, but with plenty of variety.

The North of England has a plenty of fun-filled resorts and sandy beaches. With miles of unspoilt coastline this region offers golden beaches.

Here we list some of the most famous and very well recognized beaches around the country.

Aldeburgh - Located in the East of England is quiet and unspoilt pebble beach with great historical character and is fantastic for romantic walks.

Blackpool - A popular beach located in Lancashire in the North-West. This sandy beach is famous for its rollercoaster and tower, as well as its lively night life, it has plenty of space for family fun and games.

Bamburgh - Bamburgh beach lies on the Northumberland and offers sandy beaches, few rocks, large sand dunes, beautiful views towards Farne Islands.

Brighton - Another choice in the south of England is pebbly beach is just as lively as Blackpool.

Newquay - Located in Cornwall is definitely a surfer’s paradise.

Bournemouth - Bournemouth situated in the South West, has a range of sandy beaches with great views.

Broadstairs - Located in Kent County is a quiet and clean beach with pleasant atmosphere.

Whitby - Located in North Yorkshire, Whitby is a sandy and rocky beach backed by cliffs.
