Emmanuel College

Emmanuel College was founded in 1584 by Sir Walter Mildmay. The college has an attractive chapel in Front Court joined to the cloister and Long Gallery, built in 1677 by Sir Christopher Wren.

Entering in the College from St Andrew's Street, a visitor first passes the Porters' Lodge. This consists of a large, immaculate lawn with a path running around all four sides. On the right-hand side are the Westmoreland buildings, containing some accommodation and Fellows' studies. On the left is the dining hall.
